The function of the voice depends on the strength and mobility of our many, small throat and neck muscles. The vocal apparatus, like the rest of the musculoskeletal system, needs training and stretching of the muscles and fascia in order to function as well as possible. Speech therapists, speech teachers and singing teachers are therefore also trained in giving stretching and relaxation exercises for the throat, neck, tongue, jaw and abdominal muscles.
